THIS IS THE BASIC DESCRIPTION
of the El Salvador Christian Reformed Church’s
EVANGELISM / DISCIPLESHIP – DIACONAL / DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
The El Salvador Christian Reformed Church in consultation with Lou Wagenveld developed a significant new initiative for joint Word and Deed ministry. This is a real milestone; “transformation that will make a difference in our society and our world for the Glory of God” is one of the phrases lifted from the document.
Now an agreement, it reads: “to initiate a process of institutionalization of evangelism and deaconal (ministry) together in the ES CRC.” These two dimensions are to be kept as much together as possible, under the direct guidance and supervision of the national church board, with professional advisement by former national CRWRC staff person Alba Lopez. The agreement outlines eight points for the development of this initiative. In El Salvador, Christian Reformed World Missions has incorporated a national entity (NGO) called Casa Semillas ( “Seeds of the New Creation.”) The ES CRC’s Christ-centered, church based effort will cooperate with this agency, where Back to God Ministries International also has a significant presence.
( As of 2015 another CRCNA-related agency, Partners Worldwide, is also present in El Salvador.

Even without funding, the church already was making this kind of outreach a reality on its own. The project launched in August, 2009. The secret is the mobilization of many of the members, for growth and service. And prayers.
Funding on the North American end goes through a longstanding non-profit set up expressly for channeling assistance abroad; receipts are issued for tax exempt purposes. Checks can be made out to:
ARMA (important: 'El Salvador' on the Memo line) and sent to:
Association for Reformed Ministry Abroad
4544 Van Buren St., Hudsonville, MI 49426
